Free, self-paced mini course
Numb to Nourished
A gentle course for reconnecting with sensation, interest and care without forcing feeling.
A clear path, without pressure.
Understand emotional numbness, reduce shame and experiment with safe, low-pressure ways to reconnect.
This course is designed for people who feel emotionally flat, disconnected or as though they are moving through life on autopilot. Across seven modules, you will build an understanding of the pattern, practise one skill at a time and create a plan that can survive ordinary life. You can complete it in one sitting, but spacing the modules across several days usually creates more opportunity to practise.
The material is psychology-informed education rather than therapy, diagnosis or individual medical advice. Evidence can identify promising approaches; it cannot tell us exactly what one person needs. Keep what is useful, adapt what is not and involve qualified support when the problem is persistent, severe, complex or connected with safety.
Understand numbness without shame
viewing numbness as a state with several possible causes rather than a character flaw
Open module →Module 2Check foundations and red flags
reviewing sleep, food, pain, medication, substances, mood and safety before assuming a purely psychological cause
Open module →Module 3Reconnect from the outside in
using neutral sensory contact when strong emotion feels unavailable or unsafe
Open module →Module 4Follow flickers of interest
using tiny approach behaviours instead of waiting to feel motivated first
Open module →Module 5Name needs before emotions
using practical needs such as rest, space, warmth or company as accessible entry points
Open module →Module 6Use connection with consent
choosing low-demand, trustworthy contact while respecting the urge for space
Open module →Module 7Create a nourishment plan
combining basic care, interest, sensory contact, support and professional review into a flexible plan
Open module →Turn the course into one small plan.
Choose one idea to remember, one practice to repeat and one situation in which to use it. Then name the sign that would tell you to seek more support. A tiny plan you can recall is more useful than a long plan that disappears under pressure.
The clearest idea or skill from the course.
A small repetition you can try within 48 hours.
A person, service or professional you could involve.
